The Leatherman Charge TTi is the result of a compromise that involved a desire on the part of its designers to improve the Leatherman Charge AL and ALX. Their efforts led to the conclusion that the best option was to combine the AL and ALX together, but take it to the next level in terms of materials. The Charge TTi features same outside-access design as the AL-series, but its clip-point blade is made of some truly special stuff: S30V steel. Called by Buck Knives "the best blade steel available," S30V steel is reknowned for its superior machinability and for an uncanny ability to hold an edge, making for one superbly constructed, downright sexy multitool. Features all components of the AL-series but with 50% stronger locking action and added comfort-sculpted Titanium handle scales. The Cadillac of Leatherman, for those with discriminating taste. Comes with leather/nylon sheath.

The Leatherman Multi-Tool was actually invented by an Oregonian traveling Europe by bicycle. Leatherman decided that what he needed was multipurpose tool he could carry that would be lightweight and versatile. Thus was born the multi-tool which in the beginning was basically a plier with a number of blades and tools in the handle. Sure, there have been plenty of copycats but we consider the original Leatherman line to be the best in the business. Whether you want a high tech liner locking tool like the Wave or colorful pocket models like the Juice, you will always find the same high level of quality both in design and manufacture. All Leatherman tools are made in the U.S.
