Damascus Barlow Knife with Buffalo Horn & Brass Handle

A truly beautiful and multipurpose knife, the Damascus Barlow is the ultimate tool for the kind of person who lives with the scent of rich leather on every surface of his or her home office. Stunning construction is showcased in its buffalo-horn handle and brass fittings, and the blade itself is forged from multiple layers of steels (15N20/1095 High-Carbon Tool Steel)--forming a solid block called a billet. The unique and eye-catching patterning on the blade is created by manipulating the steel during the forge welding process: when acid is added to steel, it attacks layers of soft and hard metal in different ways, bringing out the subtle and fluid design you see. The combination of steels gives the blade an added degree of toughness and flexibility. This gorgeous pocketknife features two blades--a pen knife and a clip-point blade--both featuring the Damascus Barlow's distinctive timeworn fashion.
