USGladius Thraex XII Tactical Fixed Blade knife
For more than 400 years, the Roman Gladius was the weapon of choice for gladiators and foot soldiers in Ancient Rome. Even though the short sword fell out of favor 19 centuries ago, the look is highly regarded as classic.
That's where the Thraex XII Tactical from US Gladius comes into the picture.
Taking cues from the gladius, the Thraex XII Tactical is a modern update on the classic design. The functional knife features a black titanium-coated 8Cr13MoV blade that's 8 inches long with a plain edge on one side and a serrated edge on the other. The full-tang construction and Micarta handle scales make it durable and comfortable to use in nearly any situation.
The truly unique feature of the knife is its rounded pommel. The original was used mainly for decoration, but the pommel on the Thraex XII serves to give the knife balance, prevent it from slipping out of your hand, and provide a striking mechanism.
Embrace the past and the future with the timeless design of the Thraex XII Tactical.

USGladius knives are based on the design of the Roman Gladius (short sword), the standard arm of the Roman Legions (army), proven on battlefields and the gladiatorial spectacles of the arena for over 400 years.
This unique design not only provides excellent balance, from a functional standpoint, but an aesthetic beauty as well, uncommon in a standard tactical knife.
The round pummel gives the USGladius a distinctive look, but also serves several functions:
Gives the knife excellent balance
Serves as a striking tool
Prevents the knife from slipping out of your hand
Gives the knife its distinctive classic and aesthetic look
Built for rugged use and abuse using full tang stainless steel construction, USGladius is destined to become a classic.
