The Spyderco Salt 2 C88PYL2 is designed for environments where corrosion resistance is critical. Built around Spyderco’s Salt Series, this lightweight folder combines a highly corrosion-resistant H-1 stainless steel blade with a bright yellow FRN handle that’s easy to spot in outdoor, marine, and water-based environments.
The 2.8-inch blade features a versatile drop-point profile and PlainEdge cutting edge. H-1 steel is particularly well suited to wet and saltwater environments, making the Salt 2 an excellent choice for boating, fishing, paddling, and other demanding conditions.

Making knives that consistently deliver reliable high-performance requires an ongoing commitment to testing. In our million-dollar testing facility we examine edge retention with a CATRA machine, look for rust development with Q-FOG, check the force needed to open and close a knife. We also repeatedly test for stress, wear, optimal heat-treating and actively search for higher quality, performance enhancing steels and materials.
