The Cold Steel Mini Tac Bowie 49HCF packs the rugged versatility of a full-size Bowie into a compact, lightweight fixed-blade design. Designed by Andrew Demko, this Mini Tac features a sturdy 3.63-inch clip-point blade and a slim, ergonomic handle that makes it easy to carry and comfortable to use. 

The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and features a black finish. Its clip-point profile provides a useful combination of slicing performance and a strong, precise point, making the Mini Tac Bowie well suited for outdoor and everyday utility tasks.

The compact handle has a textured Griv-Ex™ construction that provides a secure grip without adding unnecessary bulk. The full-tang blade is supplied with a Secure-Ex® sheath and steel bead lanyard, giving you convenient options for carrying this lightweight fixed blade.

Our Take: The Mini Tac Bowie is one of those knives that proves you don’t need a large fixed blade to have plenty of capability. It’s lightweight, compact, and easy to carry, but the 3.63-inch Bowie-style clip point still gives you a useful amount of cutting performance. The textured handle and included Secure-Ex sheath make this a particularly practical little fixed blade for outdoor gear, EDC, or keeping in a pack.
