The CRKT Squid 2493, designed by Lucas Burnley, is a compact everyday-carry folder that combines a substantial feel with a pocket-friendly size. The Squid has become a popular CRKT design thanks to its clean lines, rugged construction, and practical combination of features.
The 2.37-inch drop point blade is made from 8Cr14MoV stainless steel and features a stonewashed finish with a plain cutting edge. The compact blade provides a versatile profile for everyday cutting tasks while maintaining the Squid’s streamlined appearance.
An assisted-opening flipper provides quick blade deployment, while the IKBS ball-bearing pivot helps deliver smooth operation. Once open, the frame lock secures the blade in position.
The stainless steel handle gives the Squid a solid, substantial feel while keeping the overall design compact. At 5.94 inches open and 3.70 ounces, it offers a practical balance between everyday carry and useful cutting capability.
