Product Description

The CRKT Razel Compact 4036 is a small fixed-blade knife that packs a surprising amount of functionality into its compact design. Created by knife designer Jon Graham, the Razel Compact combines the distinctive Razel chisel-style blade with premium D2 steel, G-10 scales, and CRKT’s Veff Flat Top serrations.

The 2.32-inch D2 tool steel blade features a two-tone stonewash and satin finish. The distinctive chisel-style edge is designed for push cutting and scraping, while the back of the blade incorporates Veff Flat Top serrations for cutting through rope, straps, and other fibrous materials. The handle features contoured black G-10 scales that provide a secure grip despite the knife’s compact size. An extended tang accommodates the included braided lanyard, giving you additional grip options and making the small knife easier to handle.

A thermoplastic sheath is included and features a stainless steel pocket clip along with multiple attachment points. The sheath allows the Razel Compact to be carried in a variety of configurations while keeping the overall package compact.

Knife-Depot Take

The CRKT Razel Compact is one of those knives that looks unusual for a reason. The chisel-style blade gives it a distinctive cutting geometry, while the D2 steel and Veff Flat Top serrations add versatility to the compact fixed-blade design. We especially like how CRKT combines the small 2.32” blade with a substantial G-10 grip and pocket-carry sheath. It’s a compact, purpose-built design that doesn’t feel like a scaled-down version of a larger knife.
