Product Description
The Kershaw Leek 1660SWBLK is a slim, lightweight assisted-opening knife that has become one of Kershaw’s most recognizable everyday-carry designs. This version pairs the Leek’s proven design with a black anodized aluminum handle and stonewashed blade for a clean, understated appearance.
The 3-inch Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel blade offers a versatile cutting profile for everyday tasks, while the stonewashed finish helps conceal the scratches and marks that naturally occur with regular use. The plain-edge blade provides a clean cutting surface and is well suited for general utility work.
Kershaw’s SpeedSafe assisted-opening mechanism allows the blade to be deployed quickly by applying pressure to either the ambidextrous thumb stud or the built-in flipper. A liner lock secures the blade open during use.
Slim, Lightweight Design
The Leek is designed with everyday carry in mind. The 6061-T6 anodized aluminum handle keeps the knife lightweight while providing a durable frame. At only 2.4 ounces, the Leek is easy to carry without adding unnecessary bulk to your pocket.
Stonewashed 14C28N Blade
The 3-inch Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel blade features a stonewashed finish and plain edge. 14C28N is a high-performance stainless steel known for its balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
SpeedSafe Assisted Opening
The Leek features Kershaw’s SpeedSafe assisted-opening system, which provides smooth, quick blade deployment after the opening action is initiated. The knife can be opened using either the thumb stud or flipper.

The black aluminum handle and stonewashed blade give this version a more subdued look than the original Leek.
Our take: If you want a proven American-made EDC knife without a lot of bulk, the Leek remains a hard knife to beat. The 1660SWBLK adds a particularly good-looking black-and-stonewashed finish to an already excellent design.
