The KA-BAR 1250 Short USMC Fighting/Utility Knife brings the classic stacked-leather KA-BAR design into a compact, approximately three-quarter-size configuration. Its 5.25-inch 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel clip-point blade is designed for general field and utility cutting, while the traditional oval leather-washer handle gives this model the familiar look and grip of the original KA-BAR military-style knife.

The knife carries USMC markings and includes a matching brown leather sheath. It is distinct from the synthetic-handled KA-BAR 1258 and the larger seven-inch full-size KA-BAR models.
