Product Description
The Spyderco Dog Tag Folder C188CFBBKP, designed by custom knifemaker Serge Panchenko, is an exceptionally compact folding knife inspired by the size and shape of a military dog tag. Measuring just 3.23 inches overall and weighing 0.9 ounces, it is designed for discreet, lightweight carry.
Its 1.23-inch CPM S30V blade features a distinctive sheepfoot-style profile and a chisel grind with a single flat bevel. The black titanium carbonitride-coated blade and hardware give the knife a subdued appearance, while the Trademark Round Hole allows easy opening.
The handle is machined from carbon fiber/G-10 laminate and incorporates an integral spring bar with a steel ball-bearing detent. The detent holds the blade securely in the open or closed position, but this is a non-locking slipjoint design rather than a mechanically locking folder.

Making knives that consistently deliver reliable high-performance requires an ongoing commitment to testing. In our million-dollar testing facility we examine edge retention with a CATRA machine, look for rust development with Q-FOG, check the force needed to open and close a knife. We also repeatedly test for stress, wear, optimal heat-treating and actively search for higher quality, performance enhancing steels and materials.
