Smith & Wesson is one of the world's most recognizable brands, and for good reason. Since we first opened our doors, we have focused on designing and manufacturing innovative solutions that are unparalleled in the field of personal safety and protection. Almost every major law enforcement and military agency in the world has used Smith & Wesson products, and to this day, most police departments in the United States depend on our firearms and accessories.

We've been a partner to law enforcement since the late 1800s, developing crime-fighting tools that set the standard for the field. Our world-famous .357 MagnumĀ® was developed specifically for law enforcement agencies, and the Smith & Wesson .38 Special has been adopted as the caliber of choice at one time or another by hundreds of police departments. In fact, our .38 Special is so popular, the Smith & Wesson Model 10 firearm that fires it is the only handgun in the world that's been in continuous production since it was introduced in 1899, and to date, over 6 million units have been produced.

We continue to search for high performance in our newest division, Smith & Wesson Advanced TechnologiesTM (S.W.A.T.TM). Through S.W.A.T., we're developing sophisticated technological tools that assist law officials at the city, state and federal levels. We bring the same high standards of craftsmanship and precision quality to our technology solutions as we do to everything else we make.

As a company, Smith & Wesson continues to flourish and grow. We are committed to strengthening our core safety and security business, and we are prospering through synergistic alliances with other best-of-breed experts in their field. The same innovative, forward-thinking spirit that drove Smith & Wesson in the beginning still inspires us today, and we look to a future of continued leadership, quality and craftsmanship in products and services that enhance public safety, security and protection all over the world.

Wonderful underappreciated underdog

Great knife overall and I dont agree with the reviews that are negative on here i saw it doesnt hold an edge well well did unotice the steel its made of? 7cr17 I have several tops knives my 154cm rapidstrike holds an edge incredibly well, my benchmade infidel is dangerously sharp and has been for awhile, my microtech ultratech uses elmax again phenomal steel , my spyderco ronin cts bd1 edge holds forever, all these knives I mentioned are 180$, 510$, 390$, 128$ for twenty dollars an change the knife u get is a great knife Smith and Wesson makes quality. And its a boot knife or a neck knife meant as a backup weapon worst case scenario kinda thing it is exactly as described its 1solid piece of steel and rubberized coating on handle, did fine on slice and stab test(pork slab), sharpens easily enough on Arkansas stone, its sharp on both sides of the blade so from self defense standpoint can do a great deal of damage cutting one area on the thrust and one area on return of thrust forearm and bicep for example effectively disarming attacker. Its a good little back up if you ever actually get to the point of needing it so after you empty magazine on your main then your backup and drop your main knife than hidden boot blade will be capable of performing what its needed to. Blade needed a touch or two on arkansas and a lil tuning on the strop for razor sharp a ceramic sharpener would work as well.

I like the knife itself, but it requires too much force to pull it out of holder that is attached to the boot. The whole thing comes out of the boot, when you try to pull the knife out.

I carry it everywhere I go, I like the double sided blade feature and all in all it's a great boot knife, the only reason that I gave it a four star is because the sheath isn't the best, it has a strong grip on the knife which is good but if you want to pull the knife out you have to hold the sheath and pull the knife because if you don't you pull the sheath out of your boot with the knife inside
