The Spyderco Pacific Salt 2 Black Blade carries forward the proven design of the original Pacific Salt while adding enhanced ergonomics, improved grip, and a versatile four-position pocket clip. Built around highly corrosion-resistant H-1 steel, this knife is designed to perform in and around water.
The black blade features a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, with matching black coatings on the pocket clip and hardware. The linerless FRN handle incorporates Spyderco's Bi-Directional Texture pattern for a secure grip, while the third-generation Endura-style handle provides a comfortable and familiar feel.

Making knives that consistently deliver reliable high-performance requires an ongoing commitment to testing. In our million-dollar testing facility we examine edge retention with a CATRA machine, look for rust development with Q-FOG, check the force needed to open and close a knife. We also repeatedly test for stress, wear, optimal heat-treating and actively search for higher quality, performance enhancing steels and materials.
