How long will it take my product to arrive?
When you place an order with Knife Depot, you'll receive an estimated delivery date during the checkout process. Your actual date of delivery will depend on the shipping option you choose. Keep in mind that on occasion bad weather and shipping company delays can slow down orders.
What different shipping options do you offer?
We offer standard (ground) and expedited shipping (next day, second day and third day) on most orders -- simply choose the appropriate shipping method during checkout.
How much will shipping cost?
We provide you with shipping costs for a variety of shipping methods while you are shopping and during checkout. Our shipping prices are based on the exact quote of major shipping companies to ship from the warehouse to your address. We do not make a profit on shipping.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do ship worldwide (Click here for a list of countries/regions that we service). Please allow additional time to process international orders. During checkout, you will be provided with a shipping price for your order. If we are unable to determine a shipping price for your address during checkout, we will email a shipping price to you for approval before finalizing your order.
Keep in mind we are unaware of your local laws and you, the customer, assumes all shipping risks. Once the package leaves our hands there is nothing we can do from that point. All international mail is shipped via USPS or Fedex International. We will not stretch the truth or under declare values on any packages. Note: Customers are responsible for all customs and duty fees when importing products into their country.
Do you ship to military bases?
Absolutely. We are proud to service our men and women in uniform by shipping to APO and FPO addresses.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Each Knife Depot order comes with a customized tracking code, which will be emailed to you once your order ships and will allow you to track your order progress.
Is there a way to check my order status on your site?
Yes. Please visit our Order Status page to view the current status of your order. You will need your order number and billing address zip code. You can also email us with your order number and let us know that you are checking on the status of your order.
I hear you offer free shipping on orders over $99. Is that true?
You bet it is. To take advantage, simply purchase more than $99 worth of eligible products (eligible products are labeled with: "eligible for free shipping on orders over $99" next to their price) and select "Ground" as your shipping method. This promotion only applies to the continental United States.
Orders and Cancellations
Do I need to sign up for an account to place an order?
No. Our system provides the convenience of ordering without an account.
When and how can I cancel an order?
We strive to ship orders immediately, which means that in many cases orders will be not be able to be cancelled once made. However, we'll gladly attempt to cancel your order if you notify us by calling 1-800-248-1987. If you're unable to cancel your order, we offer free money-back returns for up to 60 days. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major forms of payment, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept payments via Paypal and money orders

Do you offer any coupons or promotions?
Occasionally, we do offer coupons and promotional codes to customers on our email list. Typically, these coupons are only good for a specified time. We also offer a wide array of knife giveaways and other promotions on Facebook and Twitter. Coupons found on our website and on Facebook or Twitter are our only authorized coupons.
Do you charge sales tax on your orders?
For the moment, state law requires that we charge sales tax on the full amount of the order only if the billing or shipping address is in Louisiana.
I ordered a product that is backordered? What happens now?
Sometimes due to the popularity of an item, it will have to be placed on backorder until a new shipment is received. In this situation, you will be promptly notified by a customer service specialist, who will provide you with options to fulfill your current order.
How do I know if a knife is legal in my city or state?
Some of the products we sell are restricted by particular countries, states, or cities. By purchasing an item from our website, you acknowledge that you have the legal capacity and are of legal age to do so. Unfortunately, due to the complicated and constantly changing nature of state knife laws, we are not able to provide up-to-date information on knife legality.
If I live in a country that doesn't use American dollars as currency, in what currency will I be charged?
If you live outside the U.S., the charge will be converted by your bank into your local currency and will appear on your credit card statement in that currency.
When will my credit card be charged?
In most cases, your card will not be charged until after your order has entered the shipping process.
Privacy and Security
I'm worried about entering my personal, financial information. Is your website secure?
Absolutely. Our secure sockets layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure online commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.
Do you guys sell or trade personal information?
What sort of return policy do you offer?
At Knife Depot, your satisfaction is of paramount importance. For that reason, we offer a 60-day no-questions-asked money-back guarantee.
If you are not happy with your order, you must contact us via email with your order number and the reason for the return to receive a Return Authorization (RA) within 60 days of receipt. After receiving a Return Authorization (RA), you will have 30 days to return the item back to us.
Merchandise may be returned for a full refund of your purchase price, minus our cost of shipping to and from the customer. Items purchased originally with free shipping will have standard ground shipping fees deducted from the refund. Merchandise must be returned in sellable condition, and you must contact us for a Return Authorization (RA) within 60 days of receipt. After receiving a Return Authorization (RA), you will have 30 days to return the item back to us.
The item must be brand new and unused, including the original manufacturer packaging (unopened) and paperwork. Once we receive the item we will issue a refund minus the cost of the return shipping label and original shipping. Returning an item with damaged or missing packaging will NOT receive a full refund.
If the item is found to be defective, return shipping costs will be waived and you will be refunded the full amount of your purchase. If the manufacturer cannot verify the defect, you will receive a refund minus a 25% restocking fee from the manufacturer.
Your refund will be issued in the same form of payment we received.
Our Free Returns & Exchanges policy does not apply to orders being returned from Alaska, Hawaii, or international locations and APO/FPO locations, or custom-made personalized orders.
What about shipping costs related to returns?
We do not reimburse cost of shipping for the initial order, and we also deduct the cost of the prepaid return label from your refund amount. Items purchased originally with free shipping will have standard ground shipping fees deducted from the refund.
I'm an international customer and my item didn't make it through customs. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, in the above situation, we are only able to issue a refund if the item is returned to us. If so, we will issue a full refund minus shipping fees and costs.
How long will it take me to get my refund?
You should receive your refund within 4 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. However, most refunds will be applied faster.
This time period consists of the transit time of the item being returned to us (5 to 10 days), the time it takes to process the return (3 to 5 business days) and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days.)
We will notify you via email of your refund once we've received and processed the return.
