Whether you're dealing with history buffs or knife fanatics, WWI-era 1918 Trench Knife will be a surefire conversation piece.

The trench knife was designed as a deadly combat knife to kill or incapacitate enemies in the trenches during the First World War. This knife takes a lot of the design cues of those original trench knives and turns the iconic knife into a budget-friendly knife for aficionados.

The 6.5-inch stainless steel blade has a dagger-style blade profile for easy slicing and penetration at the tip. What really stands out about the 1918 Trench Knife is the brass-colored handle with built-in knuckle dusters. Not only does this provide a solid grip to the wielder but also allows for another combat option in close quarters.

A point butt cap at the rear of the handle is another sharp steel point on the knife that could do a lot of damage.

The trench knife has recently gained popularity as the favored blade among zombie apocalypse survivalists, who must know something that the rest of us don't. It wouldn't hurt to be prepared.

Worth the money

It is difficult to get big hands through the knuckles but it is definitely a sweet purchase for 30 dollars. It’s not top of the line but definitely worth 30$

Keep your Expectations low

Knife shipped fast and arrived early, a welcome event; fit and finish of the knife and handle was far less so.

I didn't buy this knife for a specific purpose aside from always wanting one; having received it, I have absolutely zero use for it now. The knuckle guard isn't designed for someone with above average hands; my big Monké mitts barely fit through the guard with my knuckles barely being thin enough to get around the handle for a secure grip, with each solid hold of the knife being a painful gamble. I can't fault the dimensions but be advised, large fellas. More upsetting was the small scratch present on the handle from the retention rivet; the Chinesium of the rivet was strong enough to scratch a ring into the soft brass of the handle. It isn't the most obvious thing but I'd prefer my stuff to be damaged by my own hand instead of arriving pre-marred.

Product is a 3/5 stars with an additional star thrown in for fast shipping.

Great Knife

Just a really great knife: full of history and knowledge and honestly something that’s great to show off at the house and just look at.
