Gerber Kukri Machete/Instant AO Clip Folder Combo
The Gerber Kurki Machete is heavy duty enough to withstand serious cutting and make short work of everything from tall grass to small tree limbs, the hefty 12-inch blade's unique curved shape offers three specific sections. Its pointed tip pokes and pierces with accurate ease. The wide midsection chops wood or vegetables powerfully and cleanly. The narrow area above the handle allows for wood carving or whittling of kindling. Made of corrosion resistant 1050 Steel, with full tang construction for durability, the Gator Kukri's balance of weight and shape create a powerful combo. Its distinctive shape - pointed tip, wide midsection, narrow neck near the handle - comes from centuries of use as a multi-purpose tool that could double as protection.
The Gerber Kukri Machete comes with the Gerber Instant. Tactically inspired, the Instant utilizes Gerber's Assisted Opening 2.0 mechanism for easy, one-handed blade opening. The thumb plunge unlocks the three-and-a-half-inch blade for safe closure. Layers of G-10 composite are textured and shaped to make an ultra-light, ultra-tactile handle. It's a sleek clip folder made for everyday use.

In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades®. The unique style and high quality manufacturing of Gerber cutlery soon developed wide spread acclaim. In fact, Gerber Legendary Blades are the only cutlery on display in New York?s famous Museum of Modern Art.
From very early on, Gerber collaborated with top knife designers, setting a standard of quality for everyone else to follow. Renowned designers such as Al Mar, Bob Loveless, Paul Poehlmann, "Blackie" Collins, William Harsey Jr. and Ernest Emerson have all designed knives for Gerber. In 2002 this tradition continued as Gerber released the Silver Trident?, designed by Chief James "Patches" Watson (U.S.N. Ret.) and Bill Harsey Jr.
Today, Gerber continues to design and manufacture unique, high quality outdoor recreation products. In 2003 we are proud to introduce the next generation of multi-tools: the Recoil? Auto-Plier. By constantly utilizing new technology and innovative design to develop new products, Gerber continues to be an industry leader.
